Young midfielder secures long-term Alex future
Crewe Alexandra midfielder Ryan Wintle has signed a new 18-month contract with the Club, with an option of a further year, potentially taking him through to summer 2018.Wintle signed for Crewe from local non-league side Alsager Town in January 2015 on a 18-month deal that was due to expire this summer.
The 18-year-old impressed in the Under 18 set-up last season and in 2015/16 pre-season training to earn a first team squad number on the eve of the campaign.
Having made several outings as an unused sub, Wintle was rewarded for fine form in the Under 21's with his first team debut in November as a 79th minute sub in the 2-0 defeat at Bradford.
Wintle also featured in the victory over Oldham and defeat to Peterborough in November before picking up an injury that has curtailed his progress over the past month.
