Billy ruled out of Bury mid-week fixture to put youngsters on red alert.

Crewe Alexandra are set to be without midfielder Billy Bingham for our mid-week trip to Bury and there are concerns over fellow team-mate James Jones, who suffered a knock to the leg during our 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

With Ryan Wintle (foot) also ruled out and Chris Atkinson out on loan at Crawley, Steve Davis will be hoping that Jones gets the go-ahead to feature against the Shakers at Gigg Lane.

The likes of Perry NG Joe Howell and Callum Ainley remain on stand-by and are sure to travel as members of the squad for our re-arranged fixture.

Bingham has suffered a slight hamstring strain and is not expected to travel to Gigg Lane.

Crewe are also without George Ray and Lauri Dalla Valle both ankle and captain Harry Davis, who is still recovering from his knee injury.
