Steve Davis thanks defender for his efforts ahead of his final game of loan deal.
The popular defender Semi Ajayi will make his final appearance for Crewe Alexandra against Chesterfield this weekend as his emergency loan comes to an end. Clubs are permitted to take players on an emergency 93 days only and Ajayi has provided superb cover for our injured defenders George Ray and Harry Davis.
Ajayi,22, has established himself as a firm favourite with the Alex faithful and Steve Davis says that the Cardiff City centre-half has certainly improved during his loan spell.
Ahead of his final game for the club, Steve said of his on-loan defender: “Semi has done really well for us and I know he has enjoyed his time here with us.
“He has improved during his loan spell and has been able to show our fans his ability. He knows he can improve aspects of his game but he is still only 22 and he still has time to tidy things up in his game.
“He is such a terrific athlete and he is big and he has the potential to improve as well. He can only get better and the experience of playing in League One on a regular basis will only have helped him.
Steve added: “Semi has a big presence and if he works hard then he can become a really good player. He has come here and filled the hole we needed with the two lads out injured. I know he has embraced the challenge and enjoyed his football and we wish him well.”
