Ng, 19, and Richards, 22, were both out of contract at the end of this current season, but a clause in their contract was triggered by Manager Steve Davis to extend both players’ existing deals until the end of next season.

Ng has been a stand-out performer for Alex Morris’ Under 21 side this season, putting together a string of consistent performances that led to his eventual inclusion in the senior match day squad.

Making his debut as a late sub in the victory against Oldham in November, Perry made a handful of further sub appearances before getting his first start in the home draw with Burton Albion in March.

Richards has also been a regular in Morris’ side this campaign, aside from a broken foot that waylaid him during the early months, as well as waiting in the wings on the bench as Ben Garratt’s understudy.

Yet to make a first team appearance, he’ll now be hoping to get his chance next season.
