Bakayogo Focussing On Final Games

19 April 2016

Zooms says contract talks on hold until season concludes.

Zoumana Bakayogo has told Crewe Alex Player that he has put his contract talks on hold for now because he wants to concentrate on the remaining four games of the season.

The former Ivory Coast Youth International has been one of the plus points of our disappointing season and boss Steve Davis has gone on record to say that he wants the 29-year-old to extend his stay with the Railwaymen. Bakayogo was handed a short-term deal in January after proving his fitness levels since the summer.

Zoumana exclusively told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “We’ve had some discussions with the staff and we’ll see the end decision and what happens in the summer. At the moment I’m at Crewe and I’m not really thinking about that, I’m more focussed on the games rather than what’s happening with contracts and stuff so I’ve left all that to my agent while I focus on my game.

“I know myself if I think about contracts then it might affect me on the pitch, so I push all that to one side to keep my focus on doing the best I can in the games then the administration and stuff after.”
