Steve Davis says players will benefit mentally and physically from team bonding day.
Members of the Crewe Alexandra squad are today embarking on a team bonding day that will improve their mental and physical condition. Those who are not involved with the Development Squad in London made a 5.30am start to make the journey up to Windermere for the day.
Steve Davis has introduced a different day out of the comfort zone to see how far his players are willing to push themselves both mentally and physically.
The Alex boss told the club’s official web-site: “The players were told to meet at 5.30am this morning and were not told where they were going.
“We wanted to test them and take them out of their comfort zone. We will see how far they are willing to push themselves and find out where they are both mentally and physically.
“I am sure they will benefit from the day. It will be tough and something different for them to cope with.Steve added: “A friend of mine runs the company and I’m sure we will learn a lot about the players and ourselves.”
