Dan Nizic benefits from first-team experience on loan from Burnley.
Danijel Nizic is more than happy to extend his loan agreement with the club until 5th January and boss Steve Davis is pleased to have the Burnley youngster with his squad as cover for the injured Dave Richards.
Nizic has made some solid performances for our Development Squad and is providing that cover and competition to our number one Ben Garratt.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “We are pleased to have Danijel with us until January. We thought it was necessary to extend his loan because Dave (Richards) is still a few weeks off. He has been injured for almost six weeks now with his broken bone in his foot and his calf muscle will not be as strong, so he will have to build that back up.
“It is Dave’s kicking foot, so we can’t take any chances and the Christmas period is always busy, so we wanted that insurance in place if you like.
“We are pleased to have Danijel. He wanted to stay and is benefiting from the experience of being in and around a first team squad. He has also played some games for the Under-21s and he is happy to act as that cover for Ben.
The boss added: “He will push him as much as he can and if he gets an opportunity then I’m sure he will take it and not let anyone down.”
