Watford Keen For Uche To Play Games

13 March 2015

Steve says Uche Ikpeazu appreciates the oppotunties we continue to give him

Steve Davis has praised Watford Football Club for allowing Uche Ikpeazu to re-join us on loan until the end of the season. The Championship club were eager for their 20-year-old to again go out on loan and play competitive football.

Ikpeazu has re-joined Crewe until the end of the season and Davis is obviously delighted to have the robust forward back with us.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Watford were keen for Uche to come out again and play. He is still a young lad and if he isn’t part of their plans there at the moment then it is the right thing for him to do.

“Watford appreciate that their younger players need to play and I know Uche appreciates the opportunities this club have given him. I think the first spell he had here enlighten him a bit because he would have thought that every club was like us and I’ve been in the game to know that isn’t the case.

“I am picking anyone out when I say that but we are quite unique in what we do. I am glad that Uche has seen that and he wanted to come up when the chance came back round.

He added: “He knows this is a good club with good people. We want him to improve and play his part from now until the end of the season.”
