Turton Pushing For Place

Boss pleased with Turton's response after he recently lost his place

Steve Davis has praised the work ethic of Oliver Turton as he tries to win back his place in the Alex midfield. The 22-year-old recently lost his place to the emerging James Jones but has still featured in 30 games this season.

The Alex boss says that although the Altrincham-based midfielder suffered a dip in his form, he has worked hard ever since to try and regain his place in the starting XI.

Steve told crewealex.net: “Ollie has worked really hard to get back into the team and that is what you want from your players. He suffered a dip in his form and lost his place but he has come in every day into training and wants to get back in.

“If we could fit him in then we would and we will have a look at that. Ollie has put a lot into his training and that is the kind of response I want to see.”
