Inman Doubtful With Calf Strain

6 February 2015

Brad Inman hopeful that his stop-start season will not continue

Bradden Inman suffered a slight calf strain in a friendly against Ilkeston at the beginning of the week, but the attacking midfielder is still expected to travel to Essex later today.

Crewe arranged a behind closed doors friendly with the non-league side after our Under-21 fixture against Sheffield United was postponed due to the freezing weather.

Inman, who recently scored the winning goal against Northwich in the Cheshire Senior Cup, aggravated his calf muscle but it is hoped that he will be fit enough to travel and declare himself available for selection for the clash with Colchester United this weekend.

Crewe are without Chris Atkinson and Jon Guthrie, who are both ruled out with knee injuries and Matt Tootle who hasn’t recovered from his ankle problem.
