Inman Happy With Underdog Tag

18 August 2015

Brad Inman hoping for another good awayday at the Ricoh.

Brad Inman says the Alex dressing room will welcome going into tonight’s encounter with league leaders Coventry City as underdogs. The former Newcastle United youngster has happy memories of the Ricoh Arena having scored a brace in the Area Final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy back in 2013.

It is regarded as one of Inman’s most impressive displays for the club and the former Scotland Youth International has started the new season in promising fashion. He was arguably our star performer at Scunthorpe United last weekend as he created a number of chances and missed a good chance ten minutes before the interval.

Inman told Crewe Alex PlayerHD: “I feel in decent shape. I feel better and had a good pre-season. It was hard work in pre-season and it was tough going for all of us but I think we have really benefitted from it.

“All Coventry sides are strong and it is a tough game going there, but we have done well in the past. I think we enjoy playing at the Stadium. We like the big pitch and the occasion. The underdog tag can help us and we have to go out and play our football and make a better start to the game.”
