Dalla Valle Confident After Two In Two

15 April 2015

LDV hoping he will get the chance to fire Crewe to safety

Lauri Dalla Valle was again in the right place at the right time to give Crewe Alexandra an early lead at Peterborough United and although Crewe were not quite clinical enough to build on that dream start at the Abax Stadium, the Finn still believes that a point was a good return on the night.

Crewe were excellent in that first half with Dalla Valle and the recalled Marcus Haber and Nicky Ajose linking up with real purpose. We just couldn’t find that second goal in a dominant first half display and credit to Posh who came out a different side in the second half and deserved their equaliser.

Following a real game of two halves, Lauri told the club’s official web-site: “It’s a bonus and we’re happy we picked up a point that moves us out of the relegation zone.

“Every match that’s coming up is important and they’re coming up in a short period of time so it’s all about keeping your body in as good shape as you can to recover from game to game.

“I think the fans are excellent here at Crewe and we want to win as many matches as we can for them and hopefully that will start with the next one (against Walsall).

“It’s a great environment, it’s a great club, the supporters are great, the staff are great around it and it’s a club that deserves to be in League One for certain.

“We will be working as hard as we can to make that happen.

“That’s what we’re aiming to do and every game we’re going in to it in a frame of mind where we want to win it and get the three points.

He added: “That’s how we are approaching the games and I’m sure it will be no difference when we face Walsall at home.”
