Steve declares he still after another forward to bolster his attacking options
Steve Davis says the loan capture of Febian Brandy does not signal the end of his intent to bring in another forward. The Alex boss is still perusing another possible loan target to bolster his attacking options.
Davis is pleased to have secured the services of winger Brandy, initially on a one month loan, but is still after a goalscorer to help out his other forwards Marcus Haber, Vadaine Oliver and Billy Waters.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “I am still after bringing in another forward player. I think as a group another option to go along with Febian coming in would give us another boost. It would help because we are still a bit short on forwards.
“Apart from young George Cooper we didn’t have any forwards on the bench at Yeovil and getting another would give us a number of options.
“Along with Febian I have been working on another one. It is still on going at the moment and I will do my best to make sure we are one of his options.
“A lot depends on the club he is coming out from and their circumstances. That can hold things up and this has been the case with this one.
The boss added: “Hopefully, something can happen next week and we will keep working on it.”
