Billy Waters expected to be back in contention following sickness bug

Crewe Alexandra expects to have Billy Waters fit and available for selection for this weekend’s encounter at Walsall. Waters, 19, missed last weekend’s 2-1 win over Coventry city after contracting a stomach bug. The forward, who has scored three goals in his 14 outings this season, missed training last week after feeling unwell.

Waters was not included in the squad but he has successfully returned to training and is hoping to be included in Steve Davis’ 18-man squad.

Crewe will have to check on the fitness of Marcus Haber, who is currently away on International duty with Canada. They take on Colombia in New Jersey this evening and Steve Davis says he will have to assess how his target man is feeling on his return.
