Haynes and Brandy available for selection for the visit of Chesterfield this weekend
Crewe Alexandra will welcome back forwards Danny Haynes and Febian Brandy for this weekend’s League One home game against Chesterfield after they had to sit out last weekend’s FA Cup tie against Sheffield United.
The on-loan forwards were not give permission to play in the FA Cup by their parent clubs and with Marcus Haber away on International duty this weekend, their return is certainly timely for boss Steve Davis.
Steve told crewealex.net: “We knew we would be without Febian and Danny for the FA Cup game and we will be without them for the replay. We have to plan around that.
“We have them back for the Chesterfield game and they will be involved. If they start the game will remain to be seen, but it is nice to have that option again.
“Danny and Febian have come out to play games because they have not been playing regularly for their own clubs for whatever reason. They have that hunger to play matches and show people what they can do. They want to do well for the club and they will play their part on Saturday.”
