Haber Unlikely To Travel

20 November 2014

Crewe boss not prepared to risk leading scorer almost two weeks away

Crewe Alexandra’s Canadian International Marcus Haber is unlikely to travel to London for this weekend’s encounter with Leyton Orient. Haber is set to arrive back in this country later today after almost two weeks away with Canada. He featured late on in their goalless draw with Panama on Tuesday night.

Steve Davis is conscious of the fact of the amount of travelling Haber has been subjected to and as he will be unaware of his condition is unlikely to consider him for selection. Crewe will be travelling to London early tomorrow morning and will train at Luton.

The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “Marcus has been away a long time and we are unsure of his condition. It is unlikely that he will travel down with us and be involved this weekend.

“He has played in Panama City and gone through a number of time zones, so it is easy for him. We don’t know what he has had to do in training or how he is feeling and we are leaving early tomorrow and have planned to train in the South.”
