Four different scorers as Alex U21's go a step closer to the play-offs
Crewe Alexandra U21's moved a step closer to securing a play-off berth in the U21 Professional Development League 2 North Division after a thumping 4-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on their Academy pitches.First team regulars Byron Moore and Vadaine Oliver put the Alex 2-0 up at the break before the in-form Billy Waters and Joe Howell completed the scoring in the second period.
It's four goals in two games for Waters now after his hat-trick at Barnsley last week, and he was rewarded for his form with a place on the subs bench for the first team match against Notts County at Gresty Road on Tuesday night.
The U21's now have one final fixture of the regular season against Sheffield Wednesday on Monday 7th April, and a victroy will guarantee James Collins' side a spot in the play-offs.
