Well done to Steve Phillips on another amazing achivement for charity
Everyone at Crewe Alexandra Football Club would like to congratulate Steve Phillips on completing another unbelievable ride from Crewe to Paris in aid of two charities. Steve was raising money for
Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and Caudwell Children.
His close palJohn Proudlove from Bentley Engineering rode over 175 miles from Crewe to Greenwichwith Steve in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The two charity fund raisers rode to Greenwich in 9 hours on the first day, before Stevie went further in to France!
Well done to both Steve and John, who have worked and trained tirelessly to embark on another ride. They are inspirational to us all and have made a considerable difference to a lot of lives.
Steve told crewealex.net: "It is always tough going but one that I enjoy because I know that it makes a difference. That is why we do it and I can't thank the people enough who have made this possible. There is a lot of work that goes into organising this and they have been brilliant.
"The toughest part was riding to Greenwich. It was nine hours and very intense. I thought that was a great achievement and John did brilliantly.
"I cannot thank the Crewe fans, who have always been wonderful with me ever since I came here. They have continued to support me in my charity fund raising and I'm sure they have had some fun and good nights along the way as well. They have been first class. I can only thank those who have made a donation. It is much appreciated, not only be me but everyone involved with the charities as well."
