Boss says more trialists could feature at Leek and Chester
After deciding against extending the trial period of winger Femi Orenuga and central midfielder Adam Reed after our double header against Norton and Nantwich, Steve Davis says that more trialists will follow as he looks to strength his options going into the new season.
You can sometimes be surprised by a trialist and Crewe Alexandra supporters will fondly remember us signing future captain Abdul Osman in the summer of 2012 after he had returned from a brief spell in Greece.
Steve told the club’s official web-site that he will look to make quick decisions on trialists to be fair to the player and to the club. “We won’t allow things to drag on too much”, says Steve. “We will look to make quick decisions on whoever we bring in to have a look at. It is the only fair way to do things.
“There will be more trialists coming in and some of them may well feature at Leek or Chester this coming weekend. We want the right people and we wait for them.
“More and more players will soon discover that they are not in their managers plans and will be looking to get out to play and hopefully that will be to our advantage.”
