Steve hopes Molyneux can rekindle his form at former club

Steve Davis says Lee Molyneux needed to move out on loan again as he is not in his immediate plans. The left winger has re-joined Accrington Stanley on a one-month loan deal to get some competitive games under his belt after a previous loan spell at Rochdale saw him make just three substitute appearances.

The 24-year-old has re-joined Stanley under James Beattie and will go straight into their squad to face Bury tomorrow.

Steve told crewealex.net: “We have tried to get some of our players out to balance the books. Westy and Robbo (Gregor Robertson) have managed to do that and that is good for them because they need to play.

It would be good for him to go out and play some games.  “Lee is the same. He has re-joined Accrington where he did well for them last season so hopefully he can re-kindle some of his form there.

“Assessing our squad is always on-going and we have tried to balance the books recently.”
