Winger needs surgery to clear up abdominal injury
Colclough has suffered discomfort in both sides and the injury may stem from the hip injury he sustained against Accrington Stanley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.Ryan Colclough is set to undergo surgery to rectify the discomfort he is feeling in his abdominal muscle.
Colclough has not featured for the first team since a late substitute appearance against local neighbours Port Vale back in November. It is expected that the teenage winger will now miss between 3-6 weeks as he recovers from his latest injury set-back this season.
Steve told crewealex.net: “Unfortunately Ryan is going to need an operation on his stomach, there is a tear in there that needs reparing and he will be out for three-six weeks and that is a blow.”
