Boss praise for Inman after his man-of-the-match display against Bolton

Steve Davis praised Brad Inman’s top drawer performance against Bolton Wanderers last night after the former Newcastle United youngster tormented the Championship side with his pace and directness. Inman fired Crewe into a dream start after just two minutes and he continued to be at his dangerous best throughout the 90 minutes and into extra-time.

The former Scotland Under-21 International also turned creator supreme in stoppage time by crossing to the far post for Marcus Haber to nod home an equaliser and force extra-time.

Inman had been left out of the Crewe side for the club’s last two games, but demonstrated last night why he can be one of club’s main match winners this season.

The Alex boss told the club’s official web-site: “Brad has shown everyone what he can do and what he is capable of. It was comfortably his best performance of the season and we know that when he plays like that that he creates chances and get goals.

“He can score goals and he showed his great pace against their defenders. He is a quick player and showed those real bursts of energy that would worry any defender.

Steve added: “He scored a couple of great goals for the Under-21s and I was close to bringing him back into it at Swindon but I felt that Lee (Molyneux) deserved another chance.”
