Boss encourage by the fight shown in his players to remain in League One

May.^rdCrewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says his squad of players are up for the challenge of getting the points we will need to remain in League One. Davis admits that he has seen a real determination amongst the group to get the points we will need to retain our League one status after a difficult season. 

Before heading for the South West, Steve told crewealex.net: “We have two games left and the challenge is there for us. We are not sure on what we will need to be safe. It could be one win, two wins or two draws. What is important that our fate is in our own hands.

“You can only relish the test and they have played well under the pressure. There is a real determination within the group to make sure we are safe. You can see it in them.

“They know they have to deliver now. The realisation of our position hit them a few weeks ago and they have given it a real go to get out of the bottom four. They have managed to do that, mainly because of our good away form and now they want to stay out of it.

“The belief and determination is there. They have worked really hard to get it back into our hands and I’m sure they would have learned as much as I have about this season.”
