Davis priase for club's Under-21 as they progress to play-off stage

teve Davis has praised the club’s Under-21 side after they made it through to the play-off stage of the Elite Development League. James Collins’s side are now expected to travel to South Wales to face Cardiff at their stadium in the play-off semi-final.S

Steve told crewealex.net: “I would like to congratulate the Under-21s on their success. The attitude of the players who have played at that level has been first class. It didn’t matter if they were scholars or first-team players who have been asked to play, their attitude throughout has been brilliant.

“They have been first class and have never seen playing in those games as any sort of punishment. They have tried to play well as they can and use it as a chance to get back into the first-team.

“I watched the game yesterday and they were comfortable. They deserved to win the game and now they can look forward to the experience of playing at Cardiff’s ground. Of course, our priority will be the first team so we will have to see when the fixture is and who will be available at that time, but it something they can look forward to.”
