Davis says players were down after Saturday
Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that the Alex need to cut the silly mistakes late on in games. A last minute Michael Bostwick header was the second time the Alex have conceded a stoppage time equaliser this term and Davis says it is individual mistakes costing his team.
Overall Davis was happy with the way his side performed against an impressive Peterborough side, but says his side should have recorded their second win of the season.
Steve told crewealex.net: “The players were disappointed with the result on Saturday and it was great that they were disappointed. They were in the dressing room with their heads down thinking they should have won the game and we all thought that. We were all hurting.
"But I am looking at the bigger picture. Our game plan was good, we were disciplined and we scored two great goals. We just have to cut out those mistakes.
"If we hadn't conceded those late goals against Rotherham and Peterborough we'd have nine points so we'd be happy with that. It is little defining moments we have to do better with."
