West scores and Duggy plays full 90 for Tranmere

Crewe Alexandra’s Michael West was on the mark for Hereford United in their 2-1 defeat to Gateshead on Saturday. West played the full 90 minutes for the Bulls and found the net midway through the second half, unfortunately his side couldn’t find a second a goal and they slipped to a defeat.

There was better news for Adam Dugdale and his Tranmere Rovers side as they secured a 0-0 draw against Stevenage. Duggy played the full 90 minutes for Rovers, and completed his first full competitive game since late February.

Elsewhere, fellow centre-half George Ray watched on from the bench as his Wales U21 side suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at San Marino. Ray was an unused substitute as Wales’ 2015 Under 21 European Championship qualifying continued with a pointless start. Up next is another away tie against Moldova tomorrow
