Boss still hoping to add to his squad
Boss Steve Davis says he will be working hard to add to his squad before the loan deadline shuts at 5PM on Thursday. Davis has made no secret of his desire to add to his squad, especially after the injury to Max Clayton last week.
Speaking after the defeat at Carlisle last night, Davis again reiterated his desire to add his squad and preferably add to his goal scoring options. Although he says he may be limited by Football League rules on the number of arrivals
Steve told crewealex.net: “We will keep working hard because I think we need to strengthen. I can only bring two players in because I have got three in already and we are only allowed to have five in the match day squad at any given time.
“It is about looking at what positions are in most need of strengthening. I think we need to bring in some attacking players and although we are making mistakes at the back it is imperative that we bring in somebody who can score some goals.”
