Turton Signs New Deal

Midfielder signs new one-year deal with the Alex

Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce that Ollie Turton has agreed a new one-year deal with the club. The versatile 20-year-old will now be contracted with the Railwaymen until the summer of 2014.

Turton made 24 appearances for the Railwaymen last season, including eight starts. He featured in a variety of roles from full-back, to wide midfield and more commonly in the centre of midfield where he deputised regularly towards the end of the campaign for the injured Luke Murphy.

Following several impressive displays, Turton was rewarded with his third professional contract following the end of the season, and has now followed Ajay Leitch-Smith, Jon Guthrie, Billy Waters and Liam Nolan in committing their immediate futures to the Railwaymen.

Subscribers to Crewe Alex Player will be able to see an interview with Ollie later in the week. The interview was conducted by fellow Alex man George Ray, and anybody who knows George will know this isn’t one to be missed!
