8 March 2013

Nathan Ellington has signed until the end of th season

Crewe Alexandra is pleased to announce that Nathan Ellington has signed until the end of the season. The 31-year-old striker has signed until the summer and he is eligible to feature for the club in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final in April having not played in the competition this season.

The club are permitted to sign Nathan out of windows, because he has been a free agent since being released by Ipswich in the January transfer window.

Ellington, who has scored 119 league goals in just 283 league appearances during an impressive career with the likes of Bristol Rovers, Wigan and Watford, has caught the eye by scoring four goals in four appearances for the club’s Under-21s.

Ellington has been registered in time to feature for Crewe at Colchester United tomorrow and he will wear the number 32 shirt.
