Winger Would Fit The Bill

Alex target left footed wide man

August at home to Rotherham United.rdCrewe Alexandra’s assistant manager Neil Baker has been in talks with a winger as he and manager Steve Davis begin to start finalise their squad for the forthcoming season. Baker, who has conducted the negotiations in the absence of the holidaying manager, says that the club management are after another winger and central midfield player before the season kicks off on 3

Although talks are at a ‘very early stage’ with the winger and his representative, Baker did admit that ‘he would fit the bill’ if we could agree personal terms.

Neil told crewealex.net: “Steve has been after another winger and we are not blessed with left footers in the squad, so the player we are after would fit the bill.

“We have had Byron (Moore), Pogs (Mathias Pogba) has played out there and so has Ryan Colclough but we want another one. He is another good young player who we believe would be a useful addition to the squad.

“We have done our homework on him and he is a good prospect who we think would fit in to what we need.

Baker added: “We are also after another central midfield player for reasons that have been well documented. We would like another one in regardless of Murph’s situation, so we are prepared for when and if he goes.”
