Alex boss says work will continue whilst on holiday

Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that he will still be looking to add to his squad, even whilst he is away on holiday! Davis is set for a well-deserved week away in the sun next week, but says he expects to be glued to his phone as he looks to build a squad for next season.

Assistant manager Neil Baker is currently enjoying his break, and Davis says he has been in regular contact with his number two as they discuss potential transfer targets for the forthcoming season. Davis says it will be roles-reserved when he goes away next week.

Steve told crewealex.net: “I go away next week but the work doesn’t stop whilst either me or Neil are away. Neil has probably phoned me even more whilst he has been abroad then he does when he’s back home!

“It was the same last year; I think we signed two players whilst I was abroad last year. You rarely get a chance to relax because you want to get the players as soon as you can.”
