Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is expecting another difficult run out against a youthful Manchester United side this evening.
The Alex are still smarting following a harsh lesson in finishing from a strong Aston Villa side on Friday night. The impressive Christian Benteke helped himself to a first half hat-trick as Paul Lambert’s side enjoyed a 5-1 win.
Davis expects another tough assignment tonight against whoever wears a United shirt.
“I am sure there will be some quality players on display tonight. Regardless of whoever Manchester United select to play they are always talented players. It will be another test for us. Steve said:
“It is always a test against teams and players who are comfortable in possession. It will be a challenge for us when we haven’t got the ball, as it was against Aston Villa on Friday. It will be a test to see how well we do against them.
“Playing against technical players asks a lot of questions and how to handle them. It will be another tough game and we will have to be more competitive than we were in the first half against Aston Villa.”
