AJ set to miss friendly double-header

Striker AJ Leitch-Smith missed Wednesday night’s 5-0 win at Newcastle Town due to a slight groin strain and he is unlikely to feature in either of our forthcoming friendly fixtures against Leek Town and Nantwich Town. AJ Leitch-Smith could be given the all-clear for Tuesday’s first home pre-season against Blackburn Rovers.

AJ has score four goals during pre-season thus far.

Fellow striker Mathias Pogba is expected to play some part even this evening or at the Weaver Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Gregor Robertson is still recovering from his Achilles injury but is making steady progress and Adam Dugdale is fit and available after missing the last two months of last season due to personal reasons.

Trialist Ademola has been released after featuring at Norton and Newcastle, but Jake Green and midfielder Luke Giverin remain with the club.
