Bakes says Chuks still welcome back at the Alex
.Neil Baker has told the club’s official web-site that the possibility of re-signing the Arsenal midfielder Chuks Aneke is not ‘dead in the water’. The 19-year-old playmaker recently returned to his parent club after a successful loan spell saw the England Youth International score 6 goals and make a number of assists for others
Crewe Alexandra were eager to extend his loan spell with us, but Aneke returned to London to ponder his future. Baker has stressed that although dialogue has been slow, it doesn’t mean he may not return at a further date.
Neil told the club’s official web-site: “The door is not totally closed on Chuks. We would be keen for him to come back and start until the end of the season, but the decision rests with him.
“Chuks was not always easy on the eye but he is a very talented lad and has shown that he can score and create goals. He has ability and was a great lad to have here.
“With Lauri Dalle Valle, it is much the same. He only really went back to Fulham because we wanted to give our own strikers a chance. He understood that, but he is a player we will always keep an eye on.”
