Inman on why he didn't hesitate to extend his loan spell until the end of the season

Brad Inman has told the club’s official web-site that he was eager to extend his loan spell until the end of the season. Inman has become a key part of the club’s success this season, scoring four goals in his 10 appearances so far. His form has seen Crewe Alexandra progress to the Northern Final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and hopefully a place in the top half of the League One table.

Australian-born Inman is looking forward to the remaining months of the season and a possible appearance at Wembley in the Football League Trophy, if we can defeat Coventry City over two-legs.

On extending his loan deal with us, Brad exclusively told us: “I have had a few really good months here at Crewe and hopefully I can keep it up. I managed to score a few important goals but more importantly the team managed to win quite a few games and climb up the league.

“I spoke with my agent and in my mind I wanted to stay until the end of the season, so I was really happy when the gaffer (Steve Davis) told me that he wanted me to stay. It is just good to have it all signed up now and I can concentrate on playing.

Brad added: “When you are on a month-to-month loan you never really know what is going to happen. But Crewe is my home now for the next few months so I don’t have to worry.”
