Osman delight for match winner Aneke

Club captain Abdul Osman has praised Saturday’s match winner Chuks Aneke after he sprung off the bench to head the winner against Crawley Town. Aneke was in the right place at the right time to head a Matt Tootle cross past Paul Jones and secure a first win in nine for the Railwaymen.

Osman told Crewe Alex Player: “We are all delighted for Chuks and pleased for everyone. Chuks is the main man and he is always very good for us.

“We all know what he can offer us and what he can offer us is always very good. He is dangerous whenever he has the ball. He came on Saturday and gave us a lift. He worked hard and was a nuisance. He was taking players on and was a good outlet for us.

“It was a very good three points for us. We needed that win and it is a weight off of our shoulders. Now we have to keep going and hopefully that will give us the confidence to kick on.”
