Boss hoping to have striker at some point over festive period.

Steve Davis is confident that Mathias Pogba could feature somewhere over the festive period. Pogba has not featured this season after sustained a serious knee injury against Manchester United in pre-season. The club’s Guinean International needed surgery and has worked tirelessly during his rehab with head physio Rob Sharp and conditioning coach Andy Franks.

The club’s leading scorer last season has re-joined the first team group but Davis will remain cautious with his powerful forward until he is 100% convinced he is fit.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Mathias is close to being back. He has joined in training and when he is ready to return that is going to be a huge bonus for us. Any team would miss their leading scorer.

“It will be great to have him back and it is good to have him back because he is great around the place. He is good to have around and we know what he can offer us.”
