Max 50/50 with slight groin strain

Max Clayton is a rated as a doubt for tomorrow night’s home encounter with Swindon Town. The teenager has a slight groin strain and Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis is considering resting his striker for the visit of Paolo Di Canio’s side.

On loan midfielder Andy Bond is also doubtful with a groin strain. The Colchester United man missed Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Walsall after aggravating the muscle in training as the team prepared for the game in the midlands.

Crewe are definitely without the injured AJ Leitch-Smith (ankle) and Ryan Colclough (fractured jaw).
