Heading into his eighth season with the Railwaymen, the shot-stopper has been a loyal servant to the club, with his breakout season coming in the 2021/22 campaign.

Having signed a new deal in May 2022, Richards performed exceptionally throughout pre-season, however a finger injury a few days prior to the season opener at Rochdale saw the Welshman sidelined for our opening fixtures.

The six-foot two 'keeper from Abergavenny will play a pivotal role in the Alex’s quest for an impressive campaign this season. Both on and off the field – helping to guiding the talented up-and-coming young squad.
