Defensive utility man Billington signed a new and improve deal with the Alex this summer.

The Sandbach born youngster is comfortable in playing out from the back, and has the components of a modern-day defender, which will help his game naturally adapt.

Billington, who spent majority of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Leek has certainly impressed the management team this summer and will look to push Ryan Cooney and Rio Adebisi for a starting spot.
