Sass-Davies is a second first year professional, but was called onto the first team bench as a scholar for the opening of the 2017/18 season due to injuries & suspensions.

The 19-year-old made his professional debut in that early season period, playing 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United U21’s in the Leasing.com Trophy.

He enjoyed a productive loan spell at Colwyn Bay in 2017/18 & continued his development in Alex Morris’ Under 23 last season, before starting his first two senior Sky Bet League games at the tail end of the campaign – against Yeovil Town at Gresty Road & on the final day of the season at Grimsby Town.

Sass-Davies is set to be in & around the first team picture this season & will look to push the other centre halves for a place in the team.
