Bakayogo initially signed for Crewe on non-contract terms in January 2016 until the end of the 2015/16 season, before agreeing a permanent deal in June 2016.
The 31-year-old former Tranmere left-back had been without a Club since summer 2015 following the expiration of his contract at Leicester City.
The Frenchman suffered an ACL injury in January 2014 during a loan spell at Yeovil and worked hard behind the scenes for two years in a bid to return to the professional game after making his name in the English game with a successful four years at Tranmere.
That work has so far paid off for Bakayogo, with over 65 appearances to his name during his time at The Alex.
