Miller re-joined Crewe in summer 2018 after enjoying a six-month loan from Carlisle United to end 2017/18, scoring six goals in 15 games.

He made his professional debut for the Alex in November 2006 after graduating through the Crewe academy and went on to score 43 goals in 179 games for the Club over six years before signing for Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee in July 2012.

After nine goals in 35 during his time with the Blades, Miller moved on to Coventry & then Morecambe via loan spells with Shrewsbury, Crawley & York City.

It was during the 2015/16 season at the Globe Arena where Miller had his most fruitful return since leaving Crewe, notching 16 goals in 43 games for the Shrimps.

The 30-year-old, from Alsager, was a regular during his 18-months at Carlisle, but Manager Keith Curle allowed the striker to re-join his boyhood club in January 2018.
