Striker Nicholls joined the Club in summer 2018 after leaving Barnet following their relegation from the EFL.

The 30-year-old put pen-to-paper on a 12-month deal & will be looking to make an impact at Gresty Road after notching eight goals in 27 games for the Bees last season.

The Stourbridge born winger-come-striker started his professional career at Walsall in 2005, scoring 28 goals in 219 games over a seven year period, before moving to Northampton Town in 2012.

Whilst with the Cobblers, Nicholls played alongside Alex Manager Dave Artell, but his three year stay was disrupted by injury problems, limiting him to 29 appearances & nine goals over three years.

He played at Exeter from January 2015 to June 2016, banging in 13 goals in 74 games prior to joining the Bees that following summer.
