Crewe Alexandra can confirm that Connor O’Riordan has completed a move to Blackburn Rovers.

The 20-year-old defender has agreed a permanent deal with the Championship outfit and leaves for an undisclosed fee.

O’Riordan was part of the Club’s Pre-Academy training group before signing forms aged nine.

He progressed through the academy ranks and went on to make 58 appearances for The Railwaymen, scoring six goals.
