Injury Update|Williams, Tabiner, Finney, Lunt & Powell

25 January 2024

Zac Williams could play a part in Crewe Alexandra’s clash with Salford City on Saturday (3pm).

That’s according to Manager Lee Bell, who says the defender is back in full training after recovering from an ankle injury.

The 19-year-old has been missing since picking up the problem at Newport County in December.

Bell also provided updates on Joel Tabiner (ankle), Charlie Finney (calves), Owen Lunt (back) and Jack Powell (knee).

He said: “Zac is back in training and we will see where he is at for Saturday.

“Joel is about three weeks away now; he is pain-free in his ankle.

“Charlie Finney is way ahead of schedule and the signs are that his operation went well. He will be back on the grass soon.

“Owen is still struggling with pain in his back so we have to be careful with him.

“Jack is on a long road but we have upped his stretching regime to get more movement in the knee and that’s going nicely.”
