Mickey Demetriou felt it was a ‘massive’ three points against Swindon Town.

The Alex defender, a huge hit since signing in the summer, felt Crewe Alexandra deserved their third consecutive win.

Demetriou said: “It was a big win. They (Swindon) are in a dip of form but they are very dangerous so it was important we followed up our win at Mansfield.

“The three points are massive and deserved. It is a good, young squad that is still willing to learn and improve.

“I’m lucky to have played with a lot of good players and I’m still doing it now. I’m enjoying my football at the moment.

“We have a great bunch of lads and we are getting some back from injury so hopefully we’ll have an almost-fully fit squad soon.

“We go again against Barrow on Saturday. We are there or thereabouts in the table but we won’t look too far ahead. It’s always about the next game.”
