Lee Bell is weighing up his options ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.

The Manager has already added midfielders Lewis Leigh and Josh Austerfield, on loan from Preston and Huddersfield respectively, this month.

Now he looking at making other additions, particularly after Connor O’Riordan switched to Blackburn Rovers.

Bell said: “We won’t get players in for the sake of it but we are looking.

“The potential need for a centre-half has obviously cropped up in the last 24 hours so the phone has been red hot.

“But we have got cover in that area. When you lose someone it is an opportunity for someone else to come in and stake a claim.

“We will see. We are also waiting on a decision from a club on a player, and that will be after Monday. We are in a good position for when we do need to strike. In the meantime, we just have to crack on as normal.” 

The current transfer window will close at 11pm on Thursday, February 1.
