Ed Turns says he joined Crewe Alexandra because he wants to win his second consecutive League Two promotion.
The central defender arrived on Deadline Day last week – agreeing a loan from Brighton until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old spend the second half of last term on loan at Leyton Orient and made 16 starts as they stormed to the title.
Turns said: “There are a lot of factors why I signed, but mainly I’m just here to play games and I really want to help win promotion.
“When you get promoted it’s the best feeling ever.
“Crewe are in a good position in the league and the gaffer is meant to be brilliant.
“They play a good style of football and the lads are great, the changing room is really good.
“I’m an out-and-out defender, strong and quick, aggressive and tidy on the ball. I’m buzzing to be here.”
Turns made his Alex debut at Tranmere at the weekend, and contributed strongly to a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw.
Now he is working with his new teammates as preparations build toward the visit of Crawley Town (Saturday, 3pm).
