Tom Booth is on the mend after suffering a chest injury in the 0-0 draw at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
The homegrown keeper was replaced at half-time after being hurt in a heavy collision while making a courageous save at the feet of a Rovers striker.
Booth was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital where he has been receiving treatment for a pneumothorax (collapsed lung).
The 19-year-old is now feeling better and expects to be discharged tomorrow (Wednesday).
He will miss the clash with Crawley Town this weekend but is hoping to get the all-clear to resume light training towards the end of next week.
Booth, who has already been at the Club for more than a decade, has impressed in making nine-straight appearances since mid-December – keeping three clean sheets.
Everybody at Crewe Alexandra wishes Tom a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him back on the pitch.
